The first MINI2P international workshop 2022

The first MINI2P international workshop 2022

About

About

Mini2P represents a major advance in neural recording technology. The miniscope can simultaneously record the location of the animal and the calcium activity of many hundreds to thousands of neurons distributed within a region of the brain. Mini2P is developed by the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience, is open-source via the Mini2P GitHub, and is described in our publication in Cell. Read more about our brain explorer on the main Mini2P site.

The workshop will cover all aspects of Mini2P development, assembly, image acquisition, baseplating and use of the miniscope in freely-moving mice.

The workshop will consist of lectures, interactive seminars and lab sessions demonstrating Mini2P system building and assembly, with the goal of teaching you the skills required to set up Mini2P in your lab.

Workshop topics

  • The latest development of miniature two-photon microscope
  • Mini2P system building, miniscope assembly, and performance test
  • Baseplating (mounting) and image acquisition
  • Bug-fixing, ordering, and Q&A

Participants will leave the workshop with parts for their Mini2P (if pre-ordered via us), and the knowledge on how to build it in their labs.

We are eager to host a diverse range of participants!
