Vision

To develop one or more frameworks based on new methods and tools for harnessing the computational power of emerging heterogeneous HPC architectures.

What we will do

• Reduce the numerical requirements for model-fitting and Full Waveform Inversion
• Build a framework that includes an extended ImageCL-like tool that can auto-tune chosen geophysics kernels
• Extend frameworks to explore, via AI-based optimisation, emerging CPUs/GPUs/TPUs
• Explore how to use emerging computer systems to process data gatehered at the sensor, rather than having to move it all to a central location for processing.
