Main user group in NTNU's unified campus

The main user group is responsible for ensuring that the entirety of NTNU's unified campus is secured. The group will ensure that the project follows the strategy, framework and premises from the Ministry of Education and Research and NTNU.

The group is responsible for

The main user group has a special responsibility to ensure a entirety, look at various activities coherently, discuss and address dilemmas and consequences, and see opportunities and challenges across units and functional areas, on behalf of the dean, pro-rector or director they represent.

Represent the dean, pro-rector or director into the operational work on NTNU's unified campus. 
Coordinate and advise the project manager on the unified campus and be the link to NTNU's core activities, professional development and business development. 
Contribute to that NTNU's unified campus is being known in the organization and in the academic community. 
Contribute to that NTNU's needs and requirements for functionality in the construction project is met, within existing frameworks.  
Manage and give advise on any overlapping or conflicting inputs from Theme user groups and User groups for academic clusters.  
Contribute to the preparation of cases to be raised for consideration.

About the main user group

The main user group consists of nominated participants from each faculty/ functional area.

The group is led by the project manager for NTNU’s unified campus at NTNU Campus development, which cooperates closely with the project management in Statsbygg.

The main user group was
established for the pre-project phase (through 2023).
From 2024, NTNU's unified campus will be divided info several construction projects. It may then be considered whether it should be established a main user group per construction project.

The group started in January 2021.
