Involvement in NTNU’s unified campus

Involvement in NTNU’s unified campus

In order to develop a campus for the benefit of NTNU's core business, we need the knowledge from our end users and stakeholders.

User involvement in NTNU's unified campus until the construction period starts.

Students and employees have unique expertise and knowledge about how NTNU works and existing challenges and opportunities. Bringing out this knowledge is crucial to achieving good solutions in the development and construction of NTNU's new campus.

In the project NTNU’s unified campus, the involvement of the users is described in a separate strategy for involvement (in Norwegian). The strategy shall ensure that relevant perspectives and knowledge from the organization and the students are included in the construction project. This is crucial for the project to achieve the goal of creating value for the university, the city and the country.

In NTNU’s unified campus, the involvement is divided into three types of user groups:

Main user group

Theme user groups

User groups for academic clusters

NTNU and Statsbygg's project organization is responsible for ensuring that the involvement of NTNU's organization through the user groups is in accordance with the progress of the project, and that the knowledge applies in the construction and user equipment project.

How the user groups are established

The establishment of the groups follows the project plan and the progress of the deliverables in the construction project, which is led by Statsbygg. The goal is to have relevant and necessary user groups operational and ready when the need is there. The designation of participants follows a established structure to ensure efficient creation of the group and predictability in the process.

Forside Program for involvering

NTNU’s campus development depends on broad involvement of end users and stakeholders. A separate programme for involvement (in Norwegian) describes why and how users should be involved in NTNU’s campus development in order for NTNU to achieve its goals.
