Process - Campus development

Process
The way we work with campus development varies from project to project, and from phase to phase. During 2017 we finalized first phase: Aim, where we decided on the strategic direction for campus development.
In second phase Define (2017-2019): we established the comprehensive plan for the design of the campus. We investigated where it was possible to build new university buildings, where the academic environment should be placed in relation to each other and what type of areas the buildings should contain.
We are now in the third phase (2020-2023), where planning and designing buildings in each individual project has started and where the background for this work is the needs and functions of the units that will use them.

As the project progresses, there will be a need for different types of involvement. We therefore have a “programme of involvement”, which is a guideline for who gets involved when and why. The involvement is aimed at four primary groups: End users, academic professionals, staff and student representatives, and decision makers. The main emphasis of involvement of the different target groups will vary from where we are in the project implementation. The group of people that are the main part of each target group will also vary.
