The Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre will become one of the world's most advanced facilities for research and education within the field of marine technology. The centre provides NTNU and SINTEF with access to world-class facilities and premises.

The centre's main location will be in Trondheim and include wet and dry laboratories, workshops, teaching facilities, and offices and meeting rooms. In addition, the infrastructure in the Trondheim Fjord, Ålesund, Hitra, and Frøya will be further developed.

The centre will contribute to the development and restructuring of the ocean-based industries locally, nationally, and globally.

The Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre will contribute to the green shift taking place in ocean-based industries and secure Norway’s position as a leading maritime nation.
