Martina Barbi

Martina Barbi

Martina Barbi was born in Reggio Emilia (MO), Italy. She received her Bachelor’s and M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication engineering from Universita di Bologna, Italy in 2008 and 2012 respectively. She performed her master’s thesis at the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) within a six-months collaboration between the University of Bologna and the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV). She joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, where she conducted studies on Interference mitigation techniques in multiple co-located Body Area Networks scenario. She is currently a contract researcher under the WIBEC program at the UPV and she is pursuing her PhD in “Technologies for Health and Well-being” at the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (ITeAM), Valencia.
