Born in 1978 in Ecuador, she graduated in Medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Quito, Ecuador, in 2003. In 2006 she obtained a position as a resident in the Gastroenterology Service of the University Hospital La Fe of Valencia, Spain and in 2010 she specialized in Gastroenterology. After that, she spent three months at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, two months as staff Gastroenterologist at the Peset Hospital in Valencia, Spain and, from 2011 until now, she worked as staff Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist in Quito, Ecuador. She speaks Spanish, fluent English and basic Italian. She has presented poster and oral communications at national and international meetings and she has co-authored 4 papers published in indexed journals.
