Organization
Project Manual
A Project Manual for UNET has been prepared, and will be updated throughout the project period. The Project Manual describes the work packages, deliverables and the operational procedures and regulations.
Management structure
NTNU is the UNET coordinator. The Leads of 7 Work Packages constitute the Project Management Group. The names in the list of Partner Contacts constitute the General Assembly, which meets once yearly.
An internal Quality Assurance Board has been established, for reviews of deliverables and plans for acquisitions for the Training Facilities. The members have particular background and competence in the UNET area of Renewable Energy education and research.
An External Advisory board will provide comments and advice on the progress of UNET, based on the UNET internal reporting.
Communication and data management
Microsoft TEAMS is selected as the framework for both the internal communication and data storage.
- Each Work Package has a channel for communication and for documents.
- Each partner has a separate folder for partner specific document storage. When building a project document, the partners can upload contributions to their individual storage location, which is managed by each partner.
- The Progress Meetings channel includes the agendas and Minutes of Meetings.
- Major events has separate channels (Workshops)
History of collaboration
UNET is based on a long term collaboration between African universities and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology on research and education in Renewable Energy Technology. The projects have been financed through several programs managed by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation. UNET is co-funded by the Europen Council through the Erasmus+ program.
