UpToDate
UpToDate is an extensive, evidence-based clinical point-of-care database that is continously updated. It provides quick access to information about diagnsis, prognosis, treatments, interventions, drugs and patient information, covering more than 10 000 clinical topics. UpToDate is also available as an app that can be downloaded from App Store or Google Play. Access to UpToDate is provided by The Norwegian Electronic Health Library (Helsebiblioteket.no) for students and staff within the medicine and health disciplines in Norway. BMJ Best Practice
The point-of-care database BMJ Best Practice provides updated and evidence-based clinical information about mote than 10 000 different conditions. In addition, it contains around 250 medical calculators and Cochrane Clinical Answers. The content is authored by physicians and pharmacists who regularly do systematic searches to find the best and most updated research within the different topics. All content in Best Practice is subjected to double peer-review. Best Practice is available for all Norwegian IP-adresses. Forfatterne er leger og farmasøyter og bibliotekarer foretar jevnlige systematiske søk for å finne den beste og mest oppdaterte forskningen innenfor de ulike temaene. NEL: Norsk Elektronisk Legehåndbok
NEL is a Norwegian point-of-care resource that provides staff within the medical and health disciplines updated medical information. Several disciplines like medicine, drugs, radiology, nursing and clinical procedures are covered. Students and staff have access through NTNU while staff beloning to Central Norway Regional Health Authority (inlcuding St. Olavs Hospital) have access through Helseplattformen. Click "Logg inn" in the NEL start page to get access.
Klassifikasjonssystemet ICD-11
Find diganostic codes in ICD-11, the most recent version of WHO's cnternational classification of diseases and health related problems. ICD-11 is used for systematic documentation and comparison of diseases and diagnosis internationally. ICD-10 is still used in Norway for cause of death and and diagnosis in the specialist health services, but a transition to ICD-11 is underway.

A Norwegian encylopedia for drugs published by an independent organization for medicine and health personnel. The information is
quality-assured and updated. Available in Norwegian only.
Felleskatalogen
A continously updated database for drugs for human- and veterinary medicine available in Norway. It is possible to search for drug information, patient information leaflet that are supplied together with medicines and pictures of drugs. Drug amdinistration information is also available in addition to information about adverse effects and toxicity. Please note that this database is published by the drug industry. A free app is availble in App Store/Google Play. Available in Norwegian only.
MICROMEDEX
An international, extensive, updated and research-based database for drugs and medicines that is updated continously. It covers topics like functioning, adverse effects, dosage, routes of administration, interactions, patient information leaflets etc. Complementary medicine drugs are also included in Micromedex. A few handbooks like Martindale, NeoFax, Handbook on Injectable Drugs (Trissel's) og Index Nominum are integrated in the database. There is an app available. See information and get a password at Helsebiblioteket. [Micromedex is in English, but the info about the app is is Norwegian].
