Theme user groups

Theme user groups

The thematic user groups are theme-based working groups that will explore and adress topics that run across the various construction and development projects in NTNU's unified campus.

The thematic user groups shall devise general guidelines to the learning areas, hubs, special areas, workplaces and outdoor areas that will be built and rebuilt in NTNU's campus development. The groups will also deal with other cross-cutting themes for NTNU's activities, such as operation and management of buildings and outbuildings.

The need to create more theme user groups is assessed in line with activities and progress in the construction projects.

About Theme user groups

About Theme user groups

In the spring of 2021, five theme user groups is
established for NTNU's campus development.

The thematic user groups are led by the owners of topics
in the rectorate and consists
of participants with adequate
authority and professional
competence.

The work in the groups is facilitated
by the project organization in
NTNU's unified campus.

The main focus in 2021-2023 is the pre-project phase in the NTNU's unified campus, but there may be a need for the group to be active beyond the pre-project phase, to ensure continuity and a well-anchored knowledge base.

The theme user groups provide
the opportunity for continuous and

efficient use of resources.

The groups can elucidate topics
that run across discipline and
departmental boundaries, and across all subprojects.
