Sustainable Transition

Sustainable Transition

Environmental challenges are global. The need to transform is urgent for businesses, cities, and governments. Achieving a sustainable society will require far-reaching societal change, engaging all sectors. No one should be left behind, and the transition needs to be just.

Read more about Just Transition.

A sustainable transition requires deep knowledge of emerging technologies, cooperation with stakeholders, and strategic decision making for each unique organization. Making speedy changes at scale requires holistic teamwork.

NTNU Energy Initiative combines knowledge from researchers in different fields. With state-of-the-art modelling we use current data to simulate future scenarios. Working together with wider research areas, we better understand how society can achieve desirable outcomes.

We compress our findings into usable information and disseminate to organizations, whom in-turn help to identify important questions and offer data and research opportunities.
