Frode Leversund
Frode Leversund has hold the position as CEO in Gassco since 2015. With approximately 30 year in the oil and gas business , he has a broad experience within operations and maintenance, technology development and implementation and leading corporate roles in improvement initiatives. He joined formerly Statoil, now Equinor, in 1992 and rose through the ranks from production engineer to head of production at the largest natural gas processing plant in Norway. Additionally he has held a number of management posts related to the operation of gas plants and refineries and in midstream and downstream technology areas in Statoil. As CEO of Gassco the last 6 years, he has a solid insight into gas and oil value chains from field to market. Sustainable development is a focus area for Leversund, and he is engaged as member of the board of the NTNU Energy Transition program (NETI), to closely follow the energy transition challenges the society are facing going forward.
He has an MSc in engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
