Egil Matsen

Egil Matsen was managing director of Forte Fondsforvaltning until February this year, and will start as a professor at the NTNU Business School on 1 April. From 2016 to 2020, Matsen was deputy central bank governor with particular responsibility for the Government Pension Fund Global (SPU). Matsen was previously professor of social economics and head of department at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has a Ph.D. in economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Matsen is a board member of KLP and was a member of the executive board of Norges Bank between 2012 and 2020.
