The process industry contributes today with around NOK 200 billion in export income, which corresponds to 29% of Norway's total export values and 50,000 jobs(1). The process industry is also a significant actor in the Norwegian energy system, consuming one third of the electricity generated in Norway.
Making this industry both more energy-efficient and reducing its CO2 footprint related to the use of fossil reductants and other process emissions is a key national objective.
Ongoing national industrial projects and research projects with public, national, and EU funding addressing these challenges will be showcased. Here you will meet the partnerships of FME ZeMe, gigaCCS, HighEFF, and HYDROGENi and get the latest from our research and hear from our partners.
