Terms of use

By using our services you accept our terms of use. When CMIC instruments have been used to generate data for a publication, the core facility and its funding sources must be cited in one of the two following ways:

Acknowledgements

The core facility and its funding sources should be mentioned in the acknowledgements when data acquired at a core facility is submitted for publication. Please use the following sentence (or similar):

"The "XXX work/service" was provided by / performed at the Cellular and Molecular Imaging Core Facility (CMIC), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). CMIC is funded by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at NTNU and Central Norway Regional Health Authority.”

Please also report to CMIC when a manuscript is accepted for publication, so that it can be registered in our database. User output (papers and patents) are central for the continued funding of CMIC as a core facility.

Co-authorship

If personnel from CMIC contribute beyond routine assistance with their scientific knowledge to solve the scientific questions, they should be co-authors according to the "ICMJE Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals concerning Authorship and Contributor ship".

Use of instruments and assisted use of instruments in well-known methods, is not enough to require co-authorship.
