* Price for "Instrument user training" is equal to the hourly rate of the instrument for an average of 2-4 training hours (1h for Evos), plus an average of 3-5 hours of technical assistance with the accompanying hourly rate. Simple systems will require less assistance than the more advanced systems. A theoretical introduction is given for free. See "services" for more details on user training at CMIC-ALM.

** We are open to discuss prices based on an individual project basis. All prices include the creation of a Github/Zenodo repository to display your pipeline following FAIR principles.

*** Get in touch with us to discuss your image analysis needs and aims. We can advice on which instruments better suit your goals. We will conduct a feasability test and create a simple prototype to check if we can extract the information you want from your images with no cost.

**** Complex pipelines sometimes require additional work in terms of maintenance, adding functions or training new deep learning models. Model training cost will be associated to workstation usage.

Pricing information

Pricing information

The presented prices are based on the intention to share the costs of the infrastructure among users.

  • Prices are in NOK (Norwegian Kroner).
  • Prices are calculated according to the National Research Infrastructure Resource (RIR) model.
  • All prices are without VAT. VAT will be charged to all services where NTNU do not have the ownership of the results.
  • Cost assessments for project applications should be done in collaboration with the project manager, project economist and core facility.
  • Contribution price (i.e. internal price) is given to projects where NTNU has ownership rights to the results.
  • Contract price (i.e. external price) is given to projects/assignments where other than NTNU has ownership rights to the results of the project/assignment.
  • Equipment rent is reduced to 2/3 after working hours and on weekends (for most, but not all of our equipment). 
  • Prices are subject to change without notice annually.
  • Prices are valid from 08.02.2025 (ALM lab).
