Why did you choose to study international business and marketing?
I chose International Business and Marketing because it directly aligned with my background and career aspirations. Additionally, I was impressed by Norway's forward-thinking business environment and the quality of education at NTNU, which has a great reputation for its international programs. This course allowed me to gain insights into global business practices while developing essential marketing skills.
How is your typical workday?
On a typical day, I work closely with both internal teams and our customers. My day involves meeting with the team to discuss ongoing projects and then talking with customers to gather their needs and feedback. In this IT company atmosphere, I play a crucial role in relaying customer requests back to the team, ensuring that we tailor our solutions to meet their expectations effectively.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best part of my job is the dynamic team and the fast-paced environment. I enjoy the constant learning and development opportunities, as our industry is always evolving, allowing us to grow both professionally and personally.
In what way has the master’s program been relevant to your work?
The master’s program has been relevant in every way. From the teamwork in projects and the presentations we made to understanding and addressing stakeholder needs—it all translates directly into my role. My education taught me how to simplify complex topics into clear, actionable language for our stakeholders, which has been invaluable in my consulting work.
How was your experience being an international student at NTNU in Ålesund?
My experience as an international student in the International Business and Marketing program at NTNU in Ålesund was both challenging and rewarding. Initially, adapting to a new environment was difficult, but the welcoming support from my professors and classmates helped me integrate smoothly. They also encouraged my Norwegian language development, which was invaluable as I balanced studying in English with practicing Norwegian. This supportive environment not only enhanced my academic growth but also enriched my cultural experience.
