Trondheim is a city on the Trondheim Fjord, in central Norway. With a population of 212.000, Trondheim is not a big city on a European scale. However, it is the third largest in Norway. More than 30.000 students contribute to making Trondheim a vibrant city. Key words for Trondheim are history, technology and local food.

Trondheim Christmas Market

The Nordisco 2025 conference takes place during the annual Trondheim Christmas Market. At the christmas market you will find food/beverages and entertainment, or you can go shopping for traditional craft items or local food to take home.

Nidaros Cathedral

Nidaros Cathedral, built over the grave of St. Olav, is the national sanctuary of Norway. It is also one of the most popular sights in Trondheim. Dating back to the 11th century, Gothic Nidaros Cathedral features an ornate rose window and a detailed west facade.

The Old Town Bridge and the Wharves

The view over Nidelva river, from the vantage point of the Old City Bridge ("Den Gamle Bybro"), is a popular photo spot among tourists. Here you will get a view of all the wharves that are lining the riverbed on both sides of Nidelva.
