Changes in your project

Changes in your project

Over time, you may wish to change things regarding your project. In that case, HUNT needs to be notified and changes need to be applied for. 

Does your research take longer time and do you need an extension?
Do you wish to apply for additional variables to the project?
Do you want to expand the project with more publications?
Is your project finished and you wish to end the use of HUNT data?

Then you must send an application for a change in your project. 

Extension:  a later date for finishing the project 

Send an e-mail to kontakt@hunt.ntnu.no and mention:

  • Project reference number
  • Project title
  • Principle Investigator
  • New end date for the project
  • Reason for a new end date
  • Information on planned and realized publications
  • A Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) must be performed

Include as attachment:

  • REK application
  • REK approval for new end date
  • DPIA

Please be aware that HUNT can only approve the use of their own data, such that if other data sources are part of your study, you must obtain approval for extended use of these data too.

Additional variables for your project

Log into the variable order site at https://hunt-db.medisin.ntnu.no/hunt-db/#/

Follow instructions for variable orders:

  • Login with user name and password.
  • Mention the reference number for your project
  • Mention the reason for needing additional variables, and how they will be used in your analyses.
  • Send in the variable order

Send an e-mail with:

  • If the changes are of such a nature that this is needed: REK application and
  • REK approval for the changes must be sent to hunt@medisin.ntnu.no

Expansion of the project with more publications or a change in the publication plan

Send an e-mail to kontakt@hunt.ntnu.no and mention:

  • Project reference number
  • Project title
  • Principle Investigator
  • Description of the planned change in the publication plan
  • Invoice details for payment of additional publication

Include as attachment:

  • REK application and 
  • valid REK approval for the publication

Ending of the project

Please refer to our site on procedure for ending HUNT projects.

And please remember: All projects must have a valid REK approval at ALL times. All projects MUST be valid when publishing HUNT material.
