This workshop aims at presenting the goals of the NTNU Energy Transition Initiative to European partners, as well as discussing research needs from a European perspective. Some of the themes that we will discuss are:

• The role of natural gas in a low carbon future
• Energy transition perspectives
• Integrated energy systems

Workshop participants will be representatives from academia, industry and decision makers. The workshop is hosted by DIW Berlin which has been a long-standing partner of NTNU in the Center for Sustainable Energy Studies. DIW Berlin has been a key think thank in state-of-the-art research on multiple facets of the energy transition in Germany and beyond for many years.
