The programme founder Knut Samset

The programme founder Knut Samset

Concept research programme is a continuation of the so-called SSI_programme from 2001 (Store Statlige Investeringer), but has since 2002 been financed by the Finance ministry and connected explicitly to the QA scheme, or "KS-ordningen."

The program was established by Knut Samset, professor of project management at NTNU. Samset led the programme until he retired in 2021. His thinking and textbooks on early phase, concept selection and project evaluation have been an important foundation for many research studies that have been carried out by the programme.

Chronicles and commentaries

Knut has a very long publication list. A considerable part of his publications are textbooks and scientific articles, as you find them under Concept's "Publications" on the website. In addition, he has written a range of texts about projects and new technologies which give insights and understanding in an interesting and easily understandable way. These texts are available from here.
