We proudly present our speakers for the evening: Annelie Pompe, Kilian Jornet and Christer Fuglesang!
Annelie Pompe
Annelie Pompe is one of the biggest (but also smallest) adventurers in Sweden. She has had a world record in freediving to 126m in one breath, as well as climbed the seven summits.
Having one leg in the mountains and one in the ocean she claims that the biggest adventure happens on the inside. Adventure is not only about risk and danger but sharing passion and development.
Annelie has a background in sports psychology and finds that the mind is an adventure in itself. She will talk about challenges and ideas from both deep and high adventures.
Kilian Jornet
Killian Jornet defines himself as a lover of mountains. He likes competing, but, above all, he conceives sport as a way to discover landscapes both inside and outside himself.
He will talk about the experimentation towards self-knowledge and pushing limits, during sleep- and food deprivation when taking life-decisive decisions at high altitude.
Christer Fuglesang
Christer Fuglesang, representing ESA and trained by NASA and Roscosmos, is known as the first Scandinavian astronaut and cosmonaut in space.
In 2006 and 2009 he made two missions with the Space Shuttle Discovery to the International Space Station, which orbits Earth around 400 km above sea level.
He has spent close to 27 days in microgravity and has made five spacewalks adding up to almost 32 hour with extravehicular activity. Here, he holds the «Galactic Record» for maximum time aloft by freefloating a spinning frisbee.
Christer will tell his story on how he got to space and share unique experiences on the physical and mental challenges with space voyages.
