Oslo University Hospital

OUS is higher education institution as part of University of Oslo and advanced hospital with extensive research activities. Considered as the largest single hospital in Northern Europe, it accounts for more than 55% of medical research and innovation performed in Norway with more than 1000 PhD students in medicine and 175 PhD degrees annually awarded. This means recruited and hosted ESRs will benefit from being in an extraordinary medical educational and research institution exposed to advanced wireless body area network research. The OUS teams consist of Prof. Balasingham, Prof. Fosse, and Dr. Bergsland of the Interventional Centre (the hospital’s R&D department for minimally invasive treatment with access to our 3 hybrid operating theatres with MRI, Angio, and CT) and Prof. Aabakken of the Gastroenterology Laboratory. Prof. Balasingham will be the Coordinator in addition to main supervisor for ESR1 and ESR2, where Dr. Bergsland, Prof. Fosse and Prof. Aabakken as co- suerpvisors. Dr. Bergsland will be the main supervisor for ESR3, where Prof. Balasingham as co-supervisor. Four of them will provide a rich scientific and training environment for all involved ESRs.
