Fox in Socks: RRI version

Based on Dr. Seuss' Fox in Sox

Fox
Socks
Box
RRI

RRI sits in a box.
Fox is rolling in your socks.

RESPONSE-ABLE¹ fox in socks or perhaps it's in a box?

Re-imagine fox in socks while you’re sitting in a box.

Fox in socks, you’re – in a box. Reimagine how it works.

RRI voices come.
RRI writings come.
RRI and many noises come.

Look, ma’am. Look, ma’am. Mrs. RRI, ma’am.
Let's do tricks with words and gnords², ma’am.
Let's do tricks with pens and keyboards, ma’am.

First, I'll make a quick trick word stack.
Then I'll make a quick trick noise stack.

You can make a quick trick phrase stack.
You can make a quick trick voice stack.

And here's a new trick, Mrs. RRI....
Response-able hat on fox, with reflexive open box.
Fox on a box on a stack of socks.
Cate-gories run awry.

Now we come to flips and flops³, ma’am.
Try to say this Mrs. RRI, ma’am....

Collab- flip.
-ration flop.
Calibration flip and flop.
Six sick chicks pooped on your clock.

Please, ma’am. I don't like this trick, ma’am.
My tongue isn't quick or slick, ma’am.
I get all those flips and flops, ma’am,
mixed up with the chicks and flops, ma’am.
I can't do it, Mr. Fox, sir.

I'm so sorry, Mrs. RRI, ma’am.

Here's an easy game to play.
Here's an easy thing to say....

New RRI.
XYZ-ABLE RRI.
Whose RRI?
Your RRI.

Who reimagines whose RRI?
You reimagine your RRI.

Who sees who sews whose new socks, ma’am?
You see Sue sew Sue's new socks, ma’am.

Those two lines were left as is,
I cannot rhyme better than this!

This is where I end rhyme stealing.
All this gives me a bad feeling.

¹ Responsibility is a component of RRI.
² Gnords is a made-up word that has no meaning or has any meaning that you
assign to it!
³ An allusion to flip-flopping, which in informal English means to completely change the direction. In this case – reinventing RRI.

Explanatory text

A short explanation to the reader from Aistė (the rhyme thief):

  • The rhyme is roughly composed of three stages: current state of RRI, reinventing RRI, and emphasis on who is (or should be) reinventing it (you!).
  • The start is written in a way that hopefully describes the current state of RRI (e.g., a black box, with different meanings for different people in different contexts).
  • Next, I am moving towards allusions to reinventing RRI (e.g., recalibrating, flip-flopping the direction).
  • Finally, I explicitly say that you should be the one reinventing it, if you see the need to reinvent it at all. In other words, the rhyme does not give answers, just points a finger at YOU!:)
