The Department of International Business warmly welcomes you to NTNU in Ålesund and look forward seeing you on Monday 12 August!

Monday 12 August - Matriculation ceremony
When: 10.00 a.m.
Where: Fogdegården
This ceremony is for all new students at the Department of International Business. Attendance is mandatory as there will be registration of all new students before the ceremony starts..
You will be welcomed by the Head of Department, Program Director and many more from the staff. There will be speeches, followed by food and Fadder (the buddy programme).
Fadderuka, the orientation week, is a voluntary programme for all new students. Fadderuka is a great way to get to know your new fellow students and find a social environment. We recommend everyone to take part in the orientation week, organized by Fadder. Everyone will be assigned to a buddy group at the Matriculation Ceremony on 12 August.
There will also be a campus matriculation ceremony for all new students on campus at 13.00 in Vrimla.

Wednesday 14 August - Class meeting and company visit

Company visit at Åkp & United Future Lab Norway located in NMK at 10:30 - 13:30
Thursday 15 August - Sustainability day at Atlanterhavsparken
Time: 10:00 - 13:00
Where: Atlanterhavsparken
Field trip to Atlanterhavsparken for an introduction to the value chains in the ocean, biodiversity and citizen science. We will also take part in a sea shore safari called "dugnad for havet" with waders and field glasses.
From 13:00 you are welcome to experience the feeding show in the Atlanterhavstank and you will have access to the aquarium the rest of the day untill closing at 17:00
Join Fadder week/ buddy week and meet new friends from the first day of studies! All new students can participate.

During the Orientation week, you will get to know NTNU, your city and other international students in fun ways, and learn everything you need to know to get started in Norway and settle in at NTNU. The Office of International Relations arranges the orientation week.
Many different student organizations will be present on campus to showcase the variety of activities, causes and organizations you can engage with at NTNU.
Representatives from certain services at NTNU and Sit, such as the Office of International Relations, will also be present.

NTNU has various part-time classes to help you learn Norwegian as a second language, including a free online course.
Exchange students can join a 3-week intensive summer course in August.
