Registration and practical matters

Registration

The conference is open to all members of NRSN, i.e., PhD candidates and medical research program ("forskerlinje") students who are working in the field of neuroscience and are affiliated with a Norwegian institution. Additionally, non-member PhD students, master students, and postdocs whose supervisor has registered NRSN members in their lab (member labs) are also welcome to attend the conference free of charge. If you are a non-member PhD student who is unable to register as a member but is highly eager to attend the conference, we will allow participation for a small fee and as long as you cover your own travel costs to Trondheim/Værnes. Please contact us for more information.

If you are not yet a member, your supervisor can register you for membership here. There is no conference fee, and NRSN covers full-board accommodation and travel (up to 2000 NOK per person).

Neuroscience is broadly defined and the conference aims at being equally relevant for students working within all subfields of neuroscience.

Register for the conference!

Registration deadline: 28th of August

Once you are registered, remember to submit your abstract (max. 2500 characters) by 1st of September.

Practical matters

Accommodation

NRSN covers accomodation for all participants at Jegtvolden Fjordhotell. You will be accommodated mainly in double rooms, and you can indicate any preferred room mates in the registration form. If you have a good reason for needing a single room, please also indicate this in the form.

Jegtvolden Fjordhotell is situated in scenic lakeside surroundings in Inderøy, just 90 minutes north of Trondheim airport Værnes. The municipality of Inderøy in the middle of Norway has one of the most beautiful cultural landscapes in the country, which together with the sea and special light has inspired artists and authors for hundreds of years.

Travel

NRSN covers all travel costs up to 2000 NOK per participant (members and participants from member labs). You will need to book your own flight/train tickets to Trondheim and we will reimuburse you after the event. Please book your tickets as early as you can to ensure that the costs are as low as possible.

We have booked a bus from Vy that will depart from outside of the Kavli Institute at Øya Campus in Trondheim at 10:00 on 18th September (address: Olav Kyrres gate 9, 7030 Trondheim). This bus will stop at Værnes airport on the way to Jegtvolden. The departure time from the airport will be approximately 10:45, so make sure that your flight arrives in time for you to catch this bus. Representatives from NRSN and the organizing committee will meet you at the airport and in Trondheim.

The bus will be leaving the hotel at 14:15 on September 20th and will be arriving at the airport at approximately 15:30 before continuing to Trondheim city centre.
