Career opportunities
Completing the one-year programme in web design equips students with foundational skills in web design and development.
While it is not designed as a standalone qualification for securing a career in web design, it can serve as a stepping stone for students pursuing a field-related bachelor’s degree to enhance their career prospects.
For individuals with prior education or experience in other areas, the programme offers a way to complement their existing skill set by integrating web design into their primary field of expertise.
By combining web design with other disciplines, graduates can unlock unique, interdisciplinary opportunities that merge creativity, technical skills, and domain-specific knowledge – spanning industries like marketing, art and design, education, entrepreneurship, and more.
Further studies
After completing the one-year study in web design, students can apply for admission to bachelor's programmes in interaction design at NTNU, where several of their completed courses can be recognised as part of their degree.
For those planning to continue to a bachelor's degree, taking ex.phil. as an elective is advised to meet programme requirements.
Graduates with a bachelor's degree can pursue advanced studies, such as the Master in Design of Services, Technology and Interaction.
