About ICEC

History of the Conference

The first International Conference on Electrical Contacts was organised by Dr. Ragnar Holm and Professor R. E. Armington in 1961 and took place at the University of Maine, in Orono, USA. Since then, the Conference has been held every two years at venues around the world.

Thes ICEC have become recognized as the principal worldwide meeting place for electrical contact scientists and engineers. It is a forum for the presentation and discussion of research on contact phenomena, developments in technologies and advancement in manufacture of a whole range of connective devices.
