Excited event Innovative IT education in practice
Are you interested in how to make use of AI in IT education? How to integrate sustainability into IT education? What innovative IT education is taking place in your department? Join the Excited event Innovative IT education in practice!
When: 2 November, 15:00-21:00 CET, Main Stage, 1st floor
Where: DIGS, Krambugata 2, Trondheim
Target audience: students, teaching and administrative staff at NTNU and Nord university, researchers, representatives from the industry and student associations, computing education enthusiasts

Highlights:
- We celebrate Exciteds initiative «Mini Projects”. Mini projects offer an opportunity for our colleagues to acquire extra resources for improvement measures in courses or study programs beyond normal operation or management of teaching. A set of current projects will be presented. The call for Mini project proposals for spring 2024 (application deadline 1 Dec 2023) will be announced during the event.
- Excited’s PhD students and post docs present their research in poster format and are eager to share and discuss their work with colleagues.
- Innovative empirical research on mastery learning in introductory programming will be presented.
- A panel with students and scientific staff with teaching and AI expertise will discuss innovative IT education in light of recent developments in AI and the need to include sustainability in our IT courses and study programs. The audience is invited to contribute in the discussion.
- The dinner offers great opportunities for social and professional chat. Before we start the meal, there will be a mini-concert by Snaustrinda Spelemannslag, an accomplished folk music student band.
All participants are invited to enjoy a light lunch upon arrival, and later a joint dinner at the venue.
