Description: Close cooperation between a CHO (Biennale of Western Balkans), a HEI (U of Ioannina) and many other communities of artists, innovators, experts and volunteers in various fields (design, art history, environment, textiles, agriculture, etc.) The Biennale of Western Balkans (BoWB) presents interdisciplinary art and research that focus on cultural knowledge and practices identified as local, Indigenous, community, folk, traditional and living heritage. BoWB’s mission is to promote open knowledge, open technologies and the commons in the arts and cultural field, develop inclusive cultural participation and education, and build a cross-border mobility network strengthening cultural cooperation in Greece and the Balkans.

The practice of obtaining needed services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people and especially from the online community rather than from traditional employees or suppliers. A new study concludes that online crowdsourcing strategies that induce large numbers of people to solve a task, such as locating far-flung items or alleviating world hunger, work best when financial incentives impel participants to enlist friends and acquaintances in the effort.
