BRU21: Research and Innovation Program in Digital and Automation Solutions for the Offshore Energy Industry

 

BRU21 is a multidisciplinary program uniting academic and industrial experts in Cybernetics and Robotics, Computer and Data Science, Cyber security, Petroleum engineering and Geoscience, Mechanical engineering, Sociology, Management and Economics. The program focuses on creating impact across the offshore energy industry value chain through novel digital and automation technologies, innovation and people development.

BRU21 Mission: Enable higher efficiency, safety and reduced environmental footprint of oil and gas production and support the industry transition to a sustainable energy future.

The knowledge created in the BRU21 program is provided both to the industry through continuous education courses, and to NTNU students – ​the industry’s future employees.

The annual BRU21 conference is an arena for academic and industrial experts to share their latest achievements and discuss future research directions for the offshore energy industry.
