The Nordic Sustainable Innovation Dialogue series
The Nordic Sustainable Innovation Dialogue series
In this work group, we will involve both academics from the Nordics as well as representatives from business, policy and civil society in deliberating about whether a particular Nordic way of facilitating and anticipating the necessary sustainability transformation exists. More specifically, we will look into issues such as innovation and whistleblowing, and how such a Nordic approach might be competitive in a global landscape.
In an ongoing series of primarily stakeholder dialogues, but also talks, lectures and workshops, we want to deliberate on how far such a function of the Nordic model might inspire a third way of including larger parts of the population into the anticipatory innovation process itself. This will be based on the value of freedom of speech, inviting groups that usually do not participate in the public debate.
In early 2020, a task force was established, providing the possibility to discuss the obligations of the work group and to delegate tasks:
Prof Tore Bakken (BI), Dr. David Guttormsen (Chair) (USN), Dr. Ragnhild Olsen (Oslo Met), Petter Bråthen (Private Consultant), Prof Christine Myrvang (BI) and Dr. Marit Sjøvaag (BI). Ragnhild Olsen is in addition employed in a position as senior researcher.
Throughout the project period, we will publish articles where we explore theoretical and methodological issues of relevance for our core topics. We will additionally collect and store all the data from the stakeholder dialogues according to the GDPR regulations and based on an application to Norsk Samfunnsvitenskapelig Datatjeneste. At the end and after the project period, we will use the data from the stakeholder dialogues as empirical source for academic publications on the interface between RRI and CSR.
