I am special adviser at NIFU, and editor of the magazine Forskningspolitikk (“Research Policy”), a publication covering research and innovation policy in the Nordic area and beyond.

I have been involved in research and innovation policy development and studies since 1991, and I am considered an expert on learning and innovation within the research and innovation policy system. In my contributions to the research and innovation policy debate, I have underlined the need for deliberate strategies for policy learning. I have also emphasized cooperation across institutional, cultural and academic silos, and have been critical of reductionistic, simplistic and linear models of innovation and social change. I have been an associated member of the UNESCO Chair network on Future Literacy for several years.

I see AFINO as a great opportunity to expand on my experiences and contribute to developing capacity for future literacy within and beyond the centre.
