I work as a researcher at the Centre for Technology Innovation and Culture (TIK), at the University of Oslo. I am a social scientist, with research interests in different aspects of sustainability. I have an interdisciplinary background and work experience from academia, research organizations, and NGOs. I have been working in the forestry, water, energy, and food sectors.
I am interested in environmental policy and governance. I believe that studying and understanding complex socio-economic and political processes should give us pathways towards a functioning and sustainable bioeconomy.
As the leader of the AFINO-associated BREAD (Building Responsibility and Developing Innovative Strategies for Tackling Food Waste) project, I work with different stakeholders: the food industry, researchers, policy makers, and consumers. We seek to better understand the alarming food waste phenomenon and develop innovative solutions for reducing it.
The work in the BREAD project and being part of the AFINO centre for responsible innovation and corporate social responsibility fit together very nicely. I see AFINO as a great extension for our project. It helps to meet other scholars, to learn from new inspiring colleagues and discuss concepts on a meta level. However, this does not amount to abstraction, because through AFINO we want to achieve a broader impact for our research. I am very excited about our future collaborations.
