The airport is located approx. 30 kilometres from Trondheim city centre. Airport buses take you directly to the city centre. The ticket price is NOK 150 (Return: NOK 250). Credit cards are accepted. Please note that there are different bus companies (if you buy a return ticket).

The taxi fare from the airport to the city centre is approx. NOK 600-700. If you book one day in advance, the taxi fare is cheaper, but you pay per person. Consult Trondertaxi

There are direct flights to Trondheim (though not necessarily every day) from Alicante, Amsterdam, Antalya, Barcelona, Berlin Schönefeld, Copenhagen, Dubrovnik, Gdansk, Gran Canaria, Krakow, London Gatwick, Malaga, Nice, Riga, Reykjavik, Stockholm and Tallin.

There are also frequent departures from Oslo to Trondheim (connecting flights). Please consult Scandinavian Airlines or Norwegian.

Trains from Oslo take approx. 6.5 hours. Please consult NSB. The Dovre Railway between Oslo and Trondheim runs through beautiful scenery including the Gudbrandsdalen valley and the mighty Dovrefjell mountain range. The train stops at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. See more here.

BUDGET TRAVEL (plane/train combined) : There are plenty of good offers from European airports to Oslo airport.  Cheap train tickets from Gardermoen airport to Trondheim ("minipris" tickets from 250 NOK) are available for sale c. 3 months prior to travel.
