The conference weas organized by Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Denmark, and with Prof. Dorte Juul Jensen as the chair.

The conference gathered experts from all around the world to present and discuss the recent advances related to the formation and characterization of microstructures in Additive Manufacturing of metallic materials (incl. Aluminum, steel, titanium, +++).    

Yanjun Li gave a presentation on: 
Modelling the grain structure development during wire and arc additive manufacturing of steels with inoculation, which have been carried out in collaboration with PhD Yijiang Xu at SINTEF Industry.

Knut Marthinsen gave a presentation of the work:  
Additive Manufacturing of 7xxx Aluminium Alloys by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

In addition to a hectic scientific program, the social program included a visit to the Viking Museum in Roskilde, followed by a joint dinner, as well as a visit to the Royal Castle Amalienborg in Copenhagen, also followed by a joint dinner.
