Marine plastic pollution is a gigantic challenge of this century. It constitutes a dire threat to aquatic and coastal systems. In order to solve this environmental challenge, we must focus on how to stop the constant flow of new plastic into the ocean. We present a circular economy approach that is vital to reach this goal.
In this session we launch a new initiative led from NTNU Ålesund in collaboration with NTNU Oceans and NTNU Sustainability: The Circular Chains for Ocean Plastics (CiCOP)
