Course content
Organizations across all sectors are frequently required to undertake significant organizational changes that may involve structure, strategy, technology, and employee roles and attitudes. Such changes are necessary to stay competitive amid global shifts, deregulation, and technological advances. Consequently, managers and employees must have the competences to drive these changes.
This course equips students with a comprehensive understanding of managing organizational change. It covers various change management models, processes, and tactics, preparing students to lead and implement change in various organizational contexts. Students will analyze case studies and contemporary research, gaining practical skills in steering organizational change and crafting effective change strategies.
Learning content
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Critically analyze and evaluate various change management theories and models.
- Be able to assess the drivers of change and organizational change needs.
- Develop knowledge of effective change leadership skills, including communication, employee engagement and development.
- Understand identification and managing resistance to change initiatives.
- Know how to monitor and evaluate the impact of change initiatives and make continuous improvements.
- Develop ethical perspectives in relation to change management practices.

Lectures, guest lectures, case studies, class discussions and presentations.

Students will be assessed through a combination of individual and group assessments. Assessment will be based on the following components:
1. Change management project on change management (40%).
2. Individual exam on theory and implementation (60%).
