PhD candidate Peng Li receives the Chinese Government Award for Students Abroad
PhD candidate Peng Li received the "Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed (non-government sponsored) Students Abroad". His supervisors are Profs. Faltinsen, Greco and Lugni.
The award is handed out by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to honour overseas Chinese PhD candidates with outstanding academic accomplishment across all academic disciplines.
The award is based on academic merit and encourages Chinese PhD candidates abroad to achieve first-class results during their studies. The winners are selected for their academic and research work through a rigorous evaluation process.
In 2016, 7 students who are studying in Norway were granted the award.
