NTNU AMOS researchers on a pioneering research campaign

In NTNU AMOS, there is a research project on advanced stationkeeping operations, where dynamic positioning (DP) and thruster-assisted position mooring (TAPM) control and estimator algorithms are developed for stationkeeping operations.
In this pioneering experimental campaign in October 2016, PhD candidates and researchers from NTNU AMOS will experimentally test for the first time their DP-related control and observer algorithms in full-scale on NTNU’s very own research vessel R/V Gunnerus. Kongsberg Maritime has made this possible through a custom test interface in their DP control system for Gunnerus.
