Group rooms and study spaces
We have many different types of places to work around the library. You can sit on your own or together with a group, or just relax with a journal in the sofa corner. The library’s regulations for use of the rooms are displayed in the group rooms. Students and staff can reserve a room via Innsida.
U1 - 24-hour work space
The library's lower floor is open to all students and staff around the clock (the area is accessible via access card outside of Realfagbygget's opening hours).
Interactive learning space
Our lower floor is a flexible learning area with group rooms, mingle areas and flexible workplaces for collaborative learning. Several of the group stations has got a display, interactive display, or tablet. The area is furnished with regard to learning activities such as:
- Collaboration / group work
- Blended Learning
- project work
- Guidance
- Lab Work
Makerspace
Our Makerspace is available via NTNU admission card for all students and employees. In addition to a good selection of tools, we have PCs for 3D modeling, soldering stations and sewing machines. The volunteer student organization MAKE NTNU operates the workshop. The room with 3D printers is available for students and employees who have completed a course.
PCs and wireless network
The library has many PCs available for NTNU students and staff, as well as facilities for both scanning and printing.
You can connect to NTNU’s wireless network, Eduroam, in the library. Guests can use the network ntnuguest.
If you need IT assistance the Orakel support services has a service point at the Natural Science Library.
Printing
The library has a public printer and a scanner in rom C1-104.
