Research School for Training the Next Generation of
Micro- and Nanotechnology Researchers in Norway (TNNN)
Micro and Nano Science and Technology (MNST) is a highly cross disciplinary field that covers many areas of science including physics, chemistry, material technology, biology and medicine. It is the driving force behind a large part of modern science and technology, with numerous applications that span photovoltaics, batteries, fuel cells, optoelectronics, sensors, medical diagnostics, biomedical research, quantum computing and many others.
The Research School for Training the Next Generation of Micro- and Nanotechnology Researchers in Norway (TNNN) addresses current gaps in PhD-level education in this field. In particular, it establishes a vibrant national network of junior scientists working in this area of science and technology development, provides training in transferable skills and facilitates collaboration with industry. TNNN contributes both to raising the quality of Norwegian micro and nano research and making PhD education in MNST more relevant.
