Education and lab and test facilities
Education and Laboratories and Test Facilities at SUBPRO-Zero
Different sub-projects at SUBPRO-Zero utilzes existing and new laboratory facilities at the Department of Chemical Engineering, and we are currently building two new test rigs at the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum and the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering for testing of subsea equipment.
In addition, will some of the SUBPRO-Zero sub-projects make use of laboratories and test facilities at the premises of our industry partners and at other universities / research institutions.
Overview of SUBPRO-Zero's laboratories and test facilities at NTNU
Ugelstad Laboratory
The Ugelstad laboratory at the Department of Chemical Engineering is specialized in surfactant chemistry and flow assurance.
Subsea Compact Separation Test Rig
A test rig is currently beeing built at the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum for test of compact separation concepts for bulk separation.
Other Laboratories
Other laboratories at the Department for Chemical Engineering are used for testing of solvent characterization, membranes and droplet breakage.
Subsea Process Control Laboratory
At the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering we are currently building a test rig for test of operation and control of subsea processing equipment.
