What will I learn

Industrial Design Engineering – Master's program (5 years)

What will you learn?

As a student, you will work extensively in the workshop or with digital technology and learn to create compelling proposals for solutions through design projects. Through human-centered design, strategic design, system-oriented design and key knowledge of technology, you will create, visualize, test and further develop your own ideas on your own and in teams.

Industrial design students work on projects where they develop and design products, goods and services. This includes physical objects as well as user interfaces and design strategies.

As a technology student, you will also receive instruction in engineering subjects such as mathematics and physics. This helps you when you are combining design with good technical solutions.

Technology and Design

The study provides you with basic technological competence and skills in product design, aesthetics and human-machine interaction. You also learn scientific and professional working methods in product development and design.

Technology and people

In addition, you will:

  • gain a better understanding of how the use of technology has consequences for the economy, ecology and society.
  • increase your creativity and ability for communication, leadership and collaboration.
  • develop your ability to take social and ethical responsibility.

Project work

During the study you often work in projects and groups with close supervision from your supervisor. The assignments are often based on real problems with clients from the business world.

Therefore, you will also learn to:

  • understand the needs of different user groups
  • manage projects and work in teams
