Career opportunities - Physics (Master's Programme)
Career opportunities
Master's Degree Programme, 2 years, Trondheim
With a Master's degree in Physics you are attractive in the labour market, both in the public and private sectors, in areas connected to research, consultancy, engineering, and education.
During the Master's Programme in physics you develop working methods that are useful in a broad range of jobs, and employers value physicists due to their comprehensiveness and ability to approach various problems analytically and systematically.
To some extent your specialization determines which part of the labour market that is most relevant. In general the programme provides a solid foundation for further research. The technological industry offers numerous jobs that require experimental and computer simulation competence.
An alternative is to supplement the MSc degree in Physics with practical pedagogic education; hence you will qualify for teaching in upper secondary school (videregående skole).
