The master's degree programme in Media, Communication and Information Technology is a graduate level study programme within the discipline of media science, and is directed toward providing students with insight into the various parts of the media discipline through practical and theoretical work.

The Master of Science in Media, Communication and Information Technology is a cross-disciplinary programme between the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology Management, and the Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering.

The programme includes coursework in sociology, political science, media science, information science, educational science, and psychology.

Career opportunities

A specialization in Media, Communication and Information Technology qualifies students for marketing and information positions in companies or organizations. The increased interest in network-based information creates a need for qualified personnel. A combination of media science, social science, and informatics is therefore a suitable combination.
