The Social Science with Teacher Education programme combines teacher education and master's education in sociology or political science. The study provides you with teaching qualification in two subjects – one of them must be either political science or sociology. You may choose the other teaching subject from a list of recommended subjects. You will write the master's thesis within either sociology or political science.

Sociology is the study of patterns and processes in society. It focuses on how people affect each other, and how they form the small and large communities they belong to. Political science is the study of political activity within and between societies. The discipline focuses on the role of the political institutions, both locally, nationally and internationally, and on the political behavior of individuals and groups.
