Language of instruction

Language of instruction

The 6-year medical doctor programme is only offered in Norwegian and hence require Norwegian proficiency for admission. This means that foreign students who wish to enrol in this programme must learn Norwegian on their own and pass a Norwegian proficiency test in order to gain admission.

If you fulfil the Norwegian language requirement and intend to apply directly to an undergraduate programme,  you can find more information in Norwegian at NTNU.no
 


Other study options

Other study options at the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine also offers medicine-related master's and PhD programmes taught in English. However, please note that these degrees will not lead to a qualification as a medical doctor. The Faculty also offers courses that are open to exchange students.
