Course content

The course explores a central topic within German linguistics, literature or cultural studies, or an interdisciplinary topic that includes more than one of the three disciplines. A more detailed description of the academic content will be available at the beginning of the semester.

- can structure an academic argument within the given topic

Learning methods and activities

Lectures/seminars, discussions, supervision.

Compulsory assignment:

- 1 written assignment in German

- 1 oral presentation in German

Approved obligatory assignment is valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester). Compulsory activities from a previous semester may be approved by the department

Assessment: Home examination (7 days), approx. 2400-3200 words. Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester.

The exam must be answered in German.
